CLEAR K9 Academy was created as a space for people to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for their Dogs, by seeing the world through their eyes. 

 

Through clear communication and understanding how to fulfill needs, a solid relationship can exist and sustain itself.  Our central motto is “Don’t change dogs, let dogs change you”. CLEAR stands for Calm Leadership Earns Affectionate Respect. 

 

If you have spent any amount of time living with, caring for or just observing dogs, we're quite sure the experience was insightful and left a positive impression on your heart.

 

CLEAR K9 Academy has spent many years working hands-on with dogs, first in San Francisco and later in Chicago; learning through hours of practice, observation and study.  We have also participated in numerous dog training workshops in California as well as shadowing top canine behavior experts. 

 

Additionally we have partnered with Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control (FCACC) through a grant with the Bissell Pet Foundation.  Newly adopted dogs came with a complementary lesson from myself in their new home, to ensure that the new relationship got off to a great start. 

 

Owner, Daniel Christian Charles has also been the resident Pet Therapist at WCPT 820 AM talk radio in Chicago, where he answers questions and gives advice to call-in listeners who have some pet issues of their own.

Now, based in Maui, Hi, CLEAR K9 Academy looks forward to providing our services to improve the relationship between animals and their humans.
