CLEAR K9 Academy was created as a space for dog guardians to gain a deeper understanding and appreciation for their dogs — by seeing the world through their eyes. Our central motto is "Don't change dogs, let dogs change you." CLEAR stands for Calm Leadership Earns Affectionate Respect.

 

I work with any dog, at any stage of life, and any guardian — regardless of experience level or what you're dealing with. Puppies, rescued dogs, behavior challenges, or simply wanting a stronger connection — if you and your dog are in it together, so am I. Your dog doesn't need to be taught. Your dog needs to be understood. And that's exactly what I'm here for.

 

Through calm and clear communication, fulfilling your dog's needs, and building a balanced daily routine, there is nothing you and your four-legged family member can't work through together. My approach is calm and practical — by the end, you know what you're doing. Not just your dog.

 

Daniel has worked hands-on with dogs and their guardians in San Francisco, Chicago, and now Maui — servicing all of the Hawaiian Islands, including Oahu and Lanai. He has partnered with Friends of Chicago Animal Care and Control through the Bissell Pet Foundation, and is a regular featured guest on Talkative Radio with Ali B on KAKU 88.5 FM in Maui every first Thursday at 3pm. Daniel was voted Maui's Best Dog Trainer 2025 and received the Maui News Readers' Choice Award for Best of Maui in Animal Training.
